author Sam Beall Before returning to Blackberry Farm, where he was raised, Proprietor Sam Beall attended the California Culinary Academy while apprenticing at a number of wineries, farms and restaurants including the dining room, kitchen and garden of The French Laundry. Over the past decade, Sam and his team have evolved Blackberry’s food and wine program into one of America’s most respected farm-to-table experiences. Along with his wife, Mary Celeste, and their four children, Sam lives and cooks within a stone’s throw of the property’s heirloom gardens, creamery and Relais Gourmand restaurant.
